I received a M.Sc. degree in Algebra (Galois Theory) from the University of Lausanne, and then a Ph.D. in nonlinear analysis from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. After a short experience as a consultant in a private company, I obtained several postdoctoral and visiting positions:
  •   University of Rome II, Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Barcelona),
  •   Rutgers University, Tata Institute of Technology (Bangalore), Chinese Academy of Sciences (Beijing),
  •   National Center of Theoretical Sciences (Taiwan).

In 2006, I obtained an Alexander von Humboldt grant to pursue my research in Cologne (Germany), and in 2008 a Ramón Y Cajal Fellowship. Since 2007, I have a faculty position at the College of Staten Island at the City University of New York, with tenure in 2016.

My Reserach of interests are Partial Differential Equations, Calculus of Variations, Nonlinear Analysis, Morse Theory
