I received a M.Sc. degree in Algebra (Galois Theory) from the
University of Lausanne, and then a Ph.D. in nonlinear analysis from the Swiss Federal Institute
of Technology.
After a short experience as a consultant in a private company, I
obtained several postdoctoral and visiting positions:
-
  University of Rome II,
Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Barcelona),
-
Rutgers University, Tata Institute of Technology (Bangalore),
Chinese Academy of Sciences (Beijing),
-
National Center of Theoretical Sciences (Taiwan).
In 2006, I obtained an Alexander von Humboldt grant to pursue my research in Cologne (Germany),
and in 2008 a Ramón Y Cajal Fellowship. Since 2007, I have a faculty position at the College of Staten Island at the
City University of New York, with tenure in 2016.
My Reserach of interests are
