Course Information

Text Book Goals: The goal of this course is to develop proficiency in problem solving and applications of integration of single variable real-valued functions, develop understanding of sequences, series, polar coordinates, and parametric representation of curves.

Course description: This is the second of a three-semester sequence in calculus. Topics include areas between curves, volumes of solids of revolution, techniques of integration, sequences and series, improper integrals, polar coordinates, and parametric representation of curves. Prerequisite: MTH 230, MTH 231 or equivalent.

Text Book: Calculus: Early Transcendentals , by Rogawski, Adams & Franzosa, 4th Edition, W. H. Freeman & Co. (2019), ISBN: 9781319411671 (e-book ISBN: 9781319411657)
