How to scan your work to a pdf file

Instructors may require you to upload a pdf scan of your written work as a pdf. Here are a few helpful pointers:
  1. Scanning app: You can use your smartphone to scan to pdf: Instructions for iphones, or Android scanning apps (I use Office Lens)

  2. Scan all pages in one pdf file. Do not submit many files.

  3. Scan with Black & White filter, and crop the image to include only your page.

  4. Scan with portrait orientation.

  5. Transfer file :The easiest way to transfer scanned documents to computer is to attach the documents to your email from phone. You can also transfer the file using google drive or Dropbox account. e.g. Blackboard is connected with your CSI Dropbox account.

  6. NOTE: If you have a scanner or use a tablet to write on the computer, you can upload that file. Just make sure its in pdf format.

  7. NOTE: Uploading in other formats, or badly scanned work or emailing the file may result in loss of points. So please check with your instructor.
