The goals this week are:
Monday Lab: Cover topics on two-sample test, including a discussion on the rank-sum test for similar shaped distributions. This test is a non-parametric test that is useful, when the $t$-tests are not appropriate.
Monday Lecture: Lecture on 10.1 and 10.2 on the $\chi^2$ stastistic.
Wednesday Lab: (Meet in 1S-213 instead of downstairs). We will spend both hours in lab. The first hour will be done learning how to use MINITAB to do the $\chi^2$ tests. The second hour will be a test review period.
Our test will be next Wednesday on the 9th. On Monday, we will be studying regression.
We will look at sections 10.1 and 10.2 on the $\chi^2$ statistic. This will allow us to handle some questions on categorical data.
We will learn how to use the statistical tests for testing tables of data.
This is homework from chapter 10.1 and 10.2. This material will appear on the second exam.
HW: 10.1, 10.3, 10.4, 10.7, 10.17, 10.18
