Dispersion-managed Systems |
The basic equation to describe pulse propagation in
dispersion-managed optical fiber systems is the cubic nonlinear
Schrödinger equation (NLSE). In my research together with K.H.
Spatschek (Düsseldorf), S.K. Turitsyn (Aston), I have recently
been looking at
- Fast-optimization strategies for commercial optical
fiber links
- Understanding pulse-interactions using a
multi-particle Lagarangian model
- Finding quasi-periodic solutions in complex networks
