 Dispersion-managed Systems

The basic equation to describe pulse propagation in dispersion-managed optical fiber systems is the cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE). In my research together with K.H. Spatschek (Düsseldorf), S.K. Turitsyn (Aston), I have recently been looking at
  • Fast-optimization strategies for commercial optical fiber links
  • Understanding pulse-interactions using a multi-particle Lagarangian model
  • Finding quasi-periodic solutions in complex networks
