We will view different works of art and try to associate a group to each one. We will pick groups we enjoy and try to create works of art that 'express' their qualities.
I will also discuss how using art and design to introduce group theory in the high school classroom has helped my students better understand regents level material, and feel more creative when approaching mathematics.
