One of my responsibilities is to advise students on
what course they should take. That's really a personal thing, and you
should talk to me face-to-face.
If you are a math major, I know you should entertain taking the Putnam,
and definitely participate in the Putnam preparation every fall. Email me
to get started.
If you are a math major, you should try and do a math study-abroad
program.
If you are a math major, you should try and do an REU between your junior
and senior years. An REU is a paid position for during the summer to
conduct research. Don't panic, they are designed for math majors; you do
know enough.
If you are a math major, you should take an independent study with your
favorite professor. When you go to ask for an independent study, I advise
you to think of something you'd like to study, and be ready to suggest it.
