Small things made big Chris Jordan, a Seattle artist, has a series of works titled "Running the Numbers, an American Self Portrait" in which he shows the scale of comsumption by Americans when the entire U.S. population is accounted for. The banner image represents the 2,000,000 plastic beverage bottles consumed by Americans every 5 minutes. (How many per day is that if there are 300,000,000 US citizens?)
