Dr. Newmark received his BS and MS degrees in mathematics from Brooklyn College and his PhD in Operations Research from New York University. He is the author of nine college level textbooks which are used nationwide. Additionally, his STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY IN MODERN LIFE textbook has been used in many countries overseas and is currently in its sixth edition. His area of specialization is statistics. He has been a statistical consultant for both governmental agencies and in private industry. He has also served as a reviewer and referee for scholarly mathematical journals.
