Deborah S. Franzblau is Associate Professor of Mathematics. Her research interests include combinatorial optimization and graph algorithms, and she has published papers on topics ranging from set covering to structural rigidity. She has also published articles on teaching mathematics, and is a co-editor of the book Discrete Mathematics in the Schools. She has served as the Coordinator of the Program in Science, Letters, and Society at CSI, the major for future elementary and early-childhood teachers. She has a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of California/Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from MIT.
